Hm. The latest incarnation of Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells, since elusivetiger had very high praise for it.

Some random techno/eurodance thing from DI.fm while at work.

3b. Song playing right now...
Not listening to music right now. Silence is good once in a while.

4. Five songs I listen to a lot or that mean a lot to me
Now, then. This list obviously changes over time. The following are in no particular order. And no, I can't count.

1. Yö: Joutsenlaulu, Ihmisen poika and Laulu rakkaudelle. There's a lot of soul in much of that band's work. All of them make me cry.
   
2. Grace Jones: Let Joy and Innocence Prevail from the Toys soundtrack. This really makes me cry.
   
3. Loreena McKennitt: Stolen Child and really pretty much everything from her. It's just pretty and soothing.
   
4. Enya: Hope has a Place. This is one of Delachiel's songs. Though an imaginary character, she comes from deep within, and shares issues, fears, and hopes with me.
   
5. Fire Inc: Tonight is what it Means to be Young from the Streets of Fire soundtrack. Much like the above two this begins to point to just how much of a romantic I am. Besides, it's more of Jim Steinmanny goodness, to the detriment of piano-tuners all over the planet.
   
6. Iggy Pop: Living on the Edge of the Night from the Black Rain soundtrack. That, and the rest of the songs from that soundtrack are interesting among this list. With everything that has happened to me, it's really sort of odd that these are the only songs that really are coupled with past traumatic experiences. I picked up the CD at an airport before boarding a plane, and consequently it was the only music I had with me for a fairly significant week of my life.
   
7. Sibelius: Finlandia. Hey. I'm entitled to.
   
8. Armstrong: What a Wonderful World. Because beneath my jaded worldliness and PoliSci depression I still cling to my namesake hope.
