Pbbbth, silly humans!


Let's see... Steve's game on Thursday went pretty well. Dave brought me some Jasmin Thai, and I was reminded just how good their red curry is. I about melted into a puddle right then and there.

Friday nothing much happened, I diddled around on the computer, watched TV and got a little bit of book reading done.

Saturday, though, Vince invited me to join him to go to Wildlife on Easy Street, or as it is currently known, Big Cat Rescue. It's a private non-for-profit group that has a bunch of land and takes unwanted big cats and similar exotic animals from DEA confiscations, entertainment acts and zoos that can't keep them anymore. There's a real photo tour offered, but we just tagged along with another 20 or so people on the regular two hour tour. Regardless, I snapped a a couple of pictures.

Thank you! Hopefully I get to do a photo tour, or one of the interaction tours where they let you in the cage. Those aren't cheap, though... Anyhow, the place has become a lot more organized and professional in the last six or so years since my first visit, so it'll be here when you come back or to visit!

You should donate some of these to Big Cat Rescue for fund-raising... they're lovely portraits, most of them.

I admit I like the weird angle on the catbird, though. You can see the whiskers! :)

Thank you! I'm not so horribly happy with them, so hopefully I can go back and take better ones.

And yup, I noticed the whiskers. They're a bit weird. So what does a catbird do? Do they swoop down and eat poor unsuspecting cats?
