If I am ever going to build a house, maybe I should get some pointers from Ramses II.

but then there's the problem...

... of all those pesky hittite battles and hero-in-glory thingies you have to worry about. what about another inspiration:

and those he inspired in a modern practical sense: http://www.geocities.com/flyingconcrete/index.htm

of course you'll have to worry about the alignment of the sun on your own time... *grin*

long time no see- i hope you're well!?

Wow, that is some impressive architecture! Thank you for the links.
I've been good, thank you! Work and school has been incredibly busy, though. How about yourself? What have you been up to since we last spoke?

That temple is one of the coolest I've been in. :D

I'm sort of torn between the timeless stylistic appeal and astronomically-aware Egyptian architecture, and an actual moving castle (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/3235261/Walking-house-can-escape-floods-or-unruly-neighbours.html). Maybe they can be combined somehow?

How about a giant moving Sphinx in which one can live? Sitting room for having tea in the head.

So you want your house to only get sunlight twice a year? Wouldn't it be easier just to build it in Scandinavia somewhere? ;)
