House Update

Closing got moved to September 23rd, since I caved in to the request from the seller, but that's a firm date. I have a number of mortgage offers from LendingTree and the credit union, and I even found an insurer--alas, for $2000 a year premium. Still, better than the state insurance company. On the flip side, the new insurance will save me a lot in auto insurance.

Home inspection is scheduled for Friday, so I should know a lot more then. If there are any significant issues with the condition of the property, that's when those appear too. Really, that's the only contract contingency that I think has much chance of torpedoing this thing.
