Some things make me sad.
Feb. 8th, 2005 06:23 pmHypothetically.
The hypothetical college that was a topic of my previous rant has, as stated, italian marble floors. Polished black marble, interspersed with rough stone I believe to be granite.
It just occurred to someone that the polished marble is kind of slick. Someone might trip and hurt themselves.
So they decide to play it safe and paint over the marble with anti-skid paint.
It's like buying a diamond, and deciding that it glints so blindingly that it needs to be covered in duck tape.
Luckily, there are also things that make me happy, and I'll go back to daydreaming about them.
(Actually I'm going to listen to a talk about winning the information war in the 21st century. But that's beside the point.)
