Yay, for Immigration

Well, being relieved of stress due to having turned in my papers last night didn't last for long... Today's mail finds a letter from my lawyer where they let me know that the government claims they never received the last batch of my green card paperwork and by default have closed the process. The law office is arguing with the government, providing copies of the letters and Fedex tracking and all proving the contrary, so we'll see.

Snow isn't so bad, really. Maybe someone knows of a good place to move in Canada? Or maybe it'd be time for Asia.

Oh, that sucks. I hope your lawyers get things worked out for you. That is just unfair, considering the amount of people who are in this country illegally and get away with it.

Well, I do have one of the top immigration lawyers in Tampa, working for a large and prestigious law firm with plenty of political connections. But it's still more stress and uncertainty, which I distinctly wanted to get rid of.

I'll get over it.
