Peaceful Christmas
Dec. 24th, 2009 10:08 amOne part of Christmas in Finland is the Christmas Peace, a declaration read annually in the city of Turku, Finland's oldest city and previous capital. The format is a hymn (The Finnish version of Luther's Ein' feste Burg ist unser Gott), the declaration (which is some 300 years old), national anthem, and honorary march of the Finnish Defence Forces.
