Might as well get Credit
Feb. 25th, 2009 09:10 pmWe've watched two movies in my class about human security in the Americas: "Machuca" which was good but rather depressing, and tonight "Innocent Voices" which was also good, and tremendously depressing.
If you're interested in the history of either Chile or El Salvador, these are very human, touching depictions of life in those societies and the resilience of people. Both movies show the joys of life with wonderful characters. Neither of them is a "feel good" movie, but as films go, they are every bit as good as anything that came out of Hollywood.
