Picking a President
Jan. 4th, 2006 09:49 am...is easy. You go to the "election engine" provided by a number of different organizations. They ask you your opinions on a number of topics, then let you know which candidates match your views best. Candidates can also explain their answers, and you can compare candidates to each other.
You know, the Internet apparently does help democracy after all.
Now, if I could vote securely and untraceably over the net instead of driving four hours to Lantana... Though I guess this requires the teaching of asymmetric encryption in high school civics class. Come to think of it, I think it should be taught somewhere in high school, as it's pretty darn fundamental to a whole lot of the security we believe in, from secure web sites to banking.
