So, I spent the day on a lark with [livejournal.com profile] genesis_w and [livejournal.com profile] koogrr doing a roadtrip to St. Augustine. Good times was had; the weather was very nice, and we roamed about randomly looking at pretty jewelry and knick-knacks. On the way there we also stopped at Whetstone chocolates, where I picked up half a pound of chocolate covered crystallized ginger, and a few truffles. Yummy! They also have a tour of the chocolate factory, or will have one when it reopens sometime this year. Might well be worth it. I've never heard ot them, and I don't think they're up there in any particular gourmet sort of sense, but I liked their chocolate, and it was nice and quaint and friendly. I4, on my way to Orlando, was a total disaster--it took me three hours to get to UCF. I ended up detouring on 27/192/Disney back roads. The GPS and its loaded Disney area maps came in rather handy.

We had dinner, and took a ghost tour, and had a pleasant drive back. Though there was a rather spectacular car fire on I4 on my way back to Tampa, with an SUV completely engulfed in flames and firemen trying to get it under control. No injuries, as far as I could tell.

  1. Squid Salad
  2. Harumaki
  3. Tuna with green seaweed
  4. Tuna with arame/hijiki
  5. Dragon roll with tuna salad (Steve's B Roll)
  6. C.D. roll

In particular the C.D. Roll was impressive. Vince wanted to know what roll is $17. Well, it's a giant roll of death by sushi. Highly recommended, if you can't make up your mind. Both of us required the proprietors of Tokyo Sushi to fetch the wheelbarrow to cart us out when we were done.

Zzzzzz.
