Random, Useless Tidbits
Sep. 22nd, 2004 09:45 pm- Ich sollte eigentlich jetzt an meine Hausaufgaben arbeiten.
- Went to Pearl to get supplies for a wedding gift for Jen and Steve, who got married at the Bok Tower Gardens last Saturday. Pearl needs to have longer hours and lower prices. However, they do give me 10% off with my school ID, and that's pretty decent. And I broke down to get a cutting pad, since I find myself diddling around with my exacto knife relatively often.
- Through the wonders of the Internet I managed to (finally!) find a couple of Swedish made for TV movies, Livvakterna and Noll Tolerans. I maintain that the Swedes, Germans and French can do a pretty decent job at police / action flicks. I'm just annoyed that there is practically no European TV that can be had in the US. I really miss Der Alte in particular.
- Getting excited about my next week's end trip to Blueridge with Dana, Dave and Rob. This is the lowest number of participants to date, but should be fun nonetheless. In the plans are, as usual, driving too fast on winding mountain roads, and this time exploring the Carolinas.
- Instead of doing the first point, I want to write more about dark elves, or at the very least read some of the bag of books I got at Just Books when I went to dump off all my old ones. They did, alas, not have any Laurell K. Hamilton--someone had come by and bought the entire section, leaving not a single one of her books behind.
- If you want to hear Finnish spoken, visit this site. Alternatively, put in some other language and find out how a Finn would say it. (Aku Ankka = Donald Duck, Oletusasetukset = Default Settings)
- I'm now getting to point number one, finally.
