That being said, my move started pretty well. The leasing agent's eyes popped out when I returned the move-in apartment check list, though. I guess I can be a bit of a perfectionist at times... We'll see how it goes. Less money, nicer apartment, shorter commute (i.e, 5 minutes instead of 15). Dealing with the move, classes and work is a bit worrisome, though.
The new place as Verizon Avenue DSL. That's the only Internet access it has--no cable modem, no other DSL, no wireless. (Too bad there's a nature reserve with tall trees in the way. Otherwise I could just hit one of the USF link towers and set up a wireless connection!) I'm amazed Verizon makes any money at all. The leasing agent says she's never had an DSL order work out until many calls to various representatives have been placed and at least a month has passed. Ditto from other people who've ordered the service.
