Ohmygod! It's a Post!
Yes, despite my apparently best attempts I haven't fallen off the face of the planet. Instead, I'm taking classes, trying to get back into Aikido, working, applying for a new job, and diddling with an extracurricular project, which I'll post more about if / when I ever get it working.
Meanwhile what's new is what I did last night. Glen and Vince dragged me to the "Superbowl of Motorsports," a.k.a. a monster truck show at Raymond James stadium. Every last one of the 65,657 seats was sold out weeks ago, and Glen and Vince had gotten our tickets a year in advance, so I guess this sort of thing is pretty popular! I was promised a very redneck experience, and in someways it sure was, but despite all the Bubbas in wifebeaters and teenagers in camo it was actually great fun. The weather was perfect--with a jacket the temperature was just perfect. The sky was clear, and there was just enough of a breeze to blow away all the exhaust without getting chilly.
Yeah, I took pictures too.
