Ships

Tampa just became home to Carnival Cruise Lines' newest megaship, the Carnival Miracle.

When doing push-ups, I count in English these days. In many ways English is my first language, and Tampa is already the city in which I've spent the second-longest time in my life (not that it's much of a challenge). I've been kept here because it's where my friends are. Even so, I feel damn proud to point out that Carnival Miracle was built in Finland.

So there. And now back to Anduille breakfast and my Law of the Sea seminar paper.

Addition:
Cool timeline of Underwater Exploration. First time I've seen a public reference to NR1, oddly enough.

But on the other hand, there are no mountains in Florida nor Finland.

Aha! There you go.
I get to stare at this (http://www.fs.fed.us/r2/sanjuan/local-resources/images/blackheadpk.jpg) every day and y'all just have silly little toy boats.

j/k.
Finland sounds really neat. I want to see it one day.
I want to see the whole world, really....

Finland is neat. Helsinki, or any of the cities, in July are cool. Lappland in the summer is cool if you can deal with mosquitoes--I can't. I prefer the winter and snow. Around February is probably best for that. I miss it.

How long did you live there?
What prompted relocation to the U.S.?
