Well, that's the central problem: If you give people the freedom to do whatever they want, you run the risk that they hurt other people -- by running into them with their cars, by ending up sick and not having means to pay for their care, to name a few. So you take away some of that freedom for in the interest of the common good -- but how much, and how? And yeah, that I have to pay insurance, and then more insurance to cover those who aren't paying their insurance really rather annoys me.
