Greenness
There was an earlier thread elsewhere about a claim that the Prius is worse for the environment than a Hummer, and one of the tangents was the energy used by increasing the size of the housing per person.
A bit later I came across this ad in a university forum:
"A 15-minute drive from USF, the house has 3 bedrooms and 2 ½ baths, with an additional study/guest room. At approx. 2000 sq ft., it is large enough for a small family with one or two children, but suitable for a single person or couple."
